Aircraft Rinse Cart (ARC)

The Riveer Aircraft Rinse Cart (ARC)—designed in conjunction with the U.S. Navy—meets (and surpasses) the criteria for aircraft rinsing performance in harsh environments and remote airfield operations. Designed with a high-power pressure washer, the ARC is able to perform aircraft rinses and meet the rinsing and pressure guidelines in TM 1-1500-344-23-2. Both the Army and Air Force have signed with Riveer to utilize the ARC rinsing equipment in their respective fields and operations.

The ARC’s 175 PSI is safe for aircraft, spraying 12 gallons of water per minute through each wash wand. This spray helps meet strict TM requirements for aircraft rinsing and decontaminating operations. The ARC’s spray is low-pressure enough to not damage aircraft equipment, but high-pressure enough to effectively rinse common areas of entrapment.

The ARC effectively rinses large areas, greatly reducing rinse time. Dual guns on the ARC allow two users to perform the rinsing, reaching 200 total feet of surface area. When used simultaneously, the dual guns are still able to produce effective flow rates, and can easily spray an additional 40 feet for rinsing tail sections and larger aircraft. Simultaneous use of the dual guns does not negatively impact flow rates. In addition, the spray can easily extend 40′ for rising tail sections and larger aircraft.

While corrosion control is a necessity, it also shouldn’t require all of your time. Riveer’s ARC is easy to operate and maintain. The trailer-mounted, standalone unit is completely self-contained. This also means the ARC is easily transported and towed with HMMV, TUG or other common AGE. The ARC features a 6 to 28 inch tall tow bar, surge brakes, stout and full boxed trailer construction.

It also includes a 7000 axle set rating. Baffles help stabilize the ARC’s tank by minimizing the free-surface affect. Riveer’s ARC is transportable in accordance with MIL-STD-209, 1791, and 913.

It can also operate in a variety of environmental conditions, whether you’re in subzero temperatures or the desert. You also do not need to spend hours of training—the GripStart system uses one button to start and stop the unit and also includes automatic start and shutdown technology for the pumping cycle. This ensures minimal pump wear. The ARC also does not require calibration.

ARC operates on JP-8 and other common aircraft fuels or diesel. On-board or external supplies of water can be used to supply the ARC. A 1000-gallon tank holds fresh water, allowing for a continuous and length run time when no water is nearby.

Aircraft Washing System (AWS)

The U.S. Army and Riveer teamed up to develop the Aircraft Washing System or AWS for aircraft cleaning in Kuwait. The harsh desert environment was of noticeable concern, as was the need to reliably work in remote operations. The AWS’s superior design includes a pressure washer rated to perform aircraft washes and meet the washing and pressure guidelines in TM 1-1500-344-23-2. Riveer has gained competitive contracts for AWS equipment from both the Army and Navy.

TOTAL AIRCRAFT WASHING SYSTEM (TAWS)

Full Power. Hot Water. Rinse and wash. The Riveer Total Aircraft Washing System (TAWS) is the total package, producing high-flow rates that greatly reduce cleaning time while still effectively washing large surfaces. With a built-in air powered high-pressure foamer, the TAWS can cover the side of a CH47 (750 sq. ft) in less than 60 seconds. The TAWS’s efficiency is further supplemented by dual guns for two users and 200′ of total reach. And even while used simultaneously, will still produce high flow rates.

The spray can also easily reach 30 additional feet for cleaning large aircraft and tail sections. To lessen the possibility of mess, all hoses are on reels, and all guns have storage brackets and fit inside toolboxes for easy storage.

Each gun sprays 5 gallons of 140-degree water per minute, operating at a safe 175 PSI. These specifications meet the strict TM requirements for aircraft wash, rinse and decontamination procedures.

The system is low-pressure enough to be safe for the aircraft, but high-pressure enough to reach exposed steel, hinges, actuators, gear bays and other corrosion-prone areas. Quick connect yoke gives the user 10 GPM to reach 30’ high surfaces, such as tail sections.

TURBINE ENGINE FLUSH

The turbine engine flush is one of the most advanced elements of technology of the TAWS. Turbine cleaning requires low-pressure and low-flow pumping, both of which the TAWS features. Reels, fittings, and air and flush hoses are available for various turbine engines. TAWS effectively cleans aircraft engines by delivering gas path cleaner from an on-board tank. It then sends rinse water directly into the compressor and hot section of the aircraft’s engine. Flow is set at 1 to 2.5 GPM and does not exceed 45 PSI for this application. TAWS engine flush technology is compatible with H-47, H-58, H-60 and H-64 aircraft, and many others.

Kevlar®Reinforced Goodyear® tires are resistant to tears and punctures round out the list of high-quality transportation features that come together to make moving the TAWS a simple process.
